Updated: Feb 17

Playing poker at Outlaws Card Parlor and Casino in San Luis Obispo County on the Central Coast.

Walking into a card room for the first time can feel a little like sitting down at a poker table with nothing but a pocket pair of 2s. It's exciting, slightly nerve-wracking, and you probably have a full hand of questions.

That's exactly why we put together a quick little Outlaws cheat-sheet. Because at Outlaws Card Parlor in Atascadero, we want every player, the first-timer or seasoned poker player, to walk through our doors with a confident swagger, knowing the ins and outs of our card room here on the coast.

How Old Do You Have To Be To Got To A Card Room In California?

We get this question quite a bit! You must be 21 or older to play at Outlaws. No exceptions, no workarounds. We're a licensed card room in San Luis Obispo County, and we take it seriously. So bring your ID and your game face.

When Does Outlaws Open And When Does It Close?

We open every single day at 2 PM, seven days a week. We take great pride in being available to poker players whenever they're free! And when do we close? When you're done. On paper, we close around 11 PM or midnight, but we're open as long as you're playing! Which means, we're usually open until 2 AM or even 4 AM. We're not stopping the fun or your winnings early!

What Poker & Card Games Can You Play At Outlaws?

Here's where it gets fun. Outlaws isn't a one-trick pony. We run Texas Hold'Em every single day, but depending on the night, you can also find:

  • $1/$3 No Limit Hold'Em

  • Pot Limit Omaha (PLO)

  • LIMIT Omaha Hi/Lo

  • Progressive Splash Pots With No Limit Hold'Em

  • Bounty Games

  • Weekly Tournaments

  • Blackjack With A $5 Minimum Bet

Check our Poker Calendar for the daily lineup because there is always something worth playing! Test your luck and have fun.

Does Outlaws Have Food and Drinks?

Yes, but just complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for our poker players. So you can munch while you bluff. Just know that Outlaws does not serve alcohol, so leave your wine country expectations at the vineyard down the road (though after a big win, Paso Robles is just a quick drive away if you want to celebrate properly).

How Do You Join A Poker Game Or Tournament At A Card Room?

Most games you can just walk in, sit down, and play! These are the poker games you'll want to call in for
